We have been in a financial crisis since fees must fall protests- Walter Sisulu University

Walter Sisulu university once again  on news because of a financial crisis
The university closed Butterworth, Buffalo city and Mthatha campus indefinitely after violent  students protests last week.

The institutions spokesperson Yonela Tukwayo said "The institution has battled to keep up with the  maintenance of its residences  as a result of poor fee payments by students"

I wonder why Yonela Tukwayo lie on this report because the reality is that almost 98% of Walter Sisulu University students are funded by NSFAS.

She said "Walter Sisulu University students accumulated R800m in debts during the fees must fall protests, which has led to further protests at its campuses"
